Conveniently located to serve the areas of San Diego, CA

Improving the quality of your skin with spa treatments is one of the most effective ways to reduce signs of facial aging. As you age, collagen production–the protein in your skin that helps it maintain its elasticity and structure–begins to decline, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity that can make you appear older. Spa treatments can address multiple skin concerns in a single appointment, including discoloration, age spots, acne, and an uneven skin tone, by raising your skin’s collagen levels.
At Alexus Medspa, we offer customizable treatments to combat signs of aging for your unique needs. Rejuvenating your skin with spa treatments is also one of the most effective forms of preventative care against signs of aging. It is best to address changes to your skin as soon as possible, so do not hesitate to schedule a consultation today!

About Spa Treatments
Spa treatments can improve the quality of your skin barrier to address signs of facial aging for lasting results. Minimally invasive treatments to rejuvenate your skin are an extremely effective way to enhance your appearance, and in 2023, specialists performed more than 25.5 million of them. (1) As you age, the effects of sun exposure become more pronounced, resulting in wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and other imperfections.
If you have sun damage causing your skin to age prematurely (photo damage), we can address it with minimally invasive treatments designed to provide lasting radiance. UV exposure contributes to up to 80% of skin aging. (2) If you suffer from acne, spa treatments can be especially helpful for improving your skin. Approximately 45 million people in the US experience acne (3) and our customizable treatments are specifically designed to remove impurities from the skin while reducing inflammation to help you achieve lasting results. We can also improve your skin’s tone and texture with Medspa treatments.
Facials
Facials are a collection of personalized treatments designed to improve your skin’s radiance and reduce signs of aging. Taking good care of your skin is one of the most effective ways to maintain your youthful appearance. However, as you age and collagen declines, addressing the changes to your skin at home can become more challenging. We offer several different treatments to rejuvenate your complexion:
- Diamond Glow: We can resurface your skin and remove impurities from the skin barrier to unclog your pores for a smoother, more refreshed appearance
- Oxygen Infusion: We can hydrate your skin with minerals and vitamins that fortify your skin barrier and increase your radiance
- Alexus Signature: We can help your skin heal and regenerate with a personalized massage.
- Dermaplaning: We can remove dead skin cells, debris, and facial hair for a smoother and more even appearance.
- Alexus Signature: We can exfoliate your skin, perform extractions, and stimulate cell renewal for a smoother complexion that continues to improve over time.
During your consultation, we will examine your skin to determine the most effective treatment plan for you. We can also combine more than one type of treatment during your appointment to enhance your results and optimize your rejuvenation.
Peels
Chemical peels are a special solution that exfoliates the skin to remove impurities and increases your skin’s collagen levels to bring out your radiance. Our team of aesthetic professionals applies the topical treatment to your skin to address the following:
- Acne scars
- Hyperpigmentation
- Fine lines
- Wrinkles
- Sun damage
- Uneven skin tone
- Age spots
- Blemishes
- Mild laxity
As you age, your skin exfoliates itself more slowly, leading to dead skin cells that make you appear older than you are. Chemical peels usually contain alpha-hydroxy, glycolic, or lactic acids to stimulate collagen production and resurface the skin barrier. After receiving the peel, you will likely notice some light flaking as your skin rids itself of impurities. Specialists performed more than 3.5 million skin resurfacing treatments in 2023; peels were among the third most popular. (1)
Chemical Peels vs. Lasers vs. Microdermabrasion
Chemical peels remove impurities by exfoliating the skin, while lasers target impurities with specialized heat technology. Microdermabrasion works by creating tiny micro-wounds that trigger the body’s healing response, which results in increased collagen and elastin production. Each of these methods rejuvenates the skin and addresses imperfections but in different ways. During a consultation, your skin professional will let you know what treatment would be most effective for your skin concerns.
SkinPen
SkinPen is a microneedling device that can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation by raising your skin’s collagen levels. The treatment creates tiny microchannels in the skin that trigger your body’s natural healing process to help you achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin. The treatment can also help to reduce:
- Fine lines
- Acne scars
- Wrinkles
- Uneven skin texture
With a small hand-held device, we can penetrate the skin barrier with tiny needles in the areas where you are experiencing fine lines and/or wrinkles to enhance your appearance. We can apply a topical anesthetic to help you feel comfortable during the treatment.
SkinPen vs. Wrinkle Relaxers
While a SkinPen treatment effectively reduces fine lines around the eyes, nose, and mouth–delicate areas our facial expressions wear over time. If you would like to prevent signs of further aging, we can also combine SkinPen treatments with wrinkle relaxers. We can administer them directly into the muscle to temporarily relax the muscle without a frozen or unnatural appearance. Wrinkle relaxers are neuromodulators, meaning they reduce your body’s production of acetylcholine to prevent repetitive muscle contractions that wear on the skin. We offer Botox and Daxxify, which are formulated differently depending on your skin concerns and medical history.
Benefits of Spa Treatments
There are several benefits of spa treatments, including:
- Smoother skin: Increasing your skin’s collagen levels can improve your skin tone and texture.
- A youthful-looking appearance: We can reduce fine lines and wrinkles for lasting radiance.
- Lasting results: If you take good care of your skin, you can achieve lasting results.
- Even skin tone and texture: We can address sun spots, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation.
- Nonsurgical: We can rejuvenate your skin without incisions, anesthesia, or a lengthy recovery period.
- Minimal downtime: If you avoid excessive sun exposure, you can return to most of your everyday activities soon afterward.
