Facials
Conveniently located to serve the areas of San Diego, CA

A facial is a non-invasive treatment intended for facial rejuvenation. Patients may seek out facials if they notice their skin is suffering from dullness, roughness, or discoloration, but facials can also have broad benefits that lead to healthier-looking skin. Facials can utilize different technologies and methods like skin resurfacing, infusion, extraction, and facial massaging.
At Alexus Med Spa, we offer a variety of different facials that are designed to refresh your skin, stimulate collagen production, and provide much-needed hydration. We know that facials can be an important act of self-care, so it is our goal to provide patients with a pleasant, relaxing environment where they can receive their treatment.

About Facials
At Alexus Med Spa, we offer different kinds of facials so that patients have an array of treatments to choose from. Certain aspects of these treatments are customizable, allowing our patients to receive the treatment that is best for them and their skin, as everyone’s skin has unique qualities and needs.
Diamond Glow Facial
The Diamond Glow Facial uses next-level skin resurfacing technology that does more than just skim the surface of the skin. This powerful treatment simultaneously exfoliates, extracts, and treats the skin for results that last. During the Diamond Glow Facial, your skin professional will infuse the skin with serums at the moment of exfoliation when pores are more receptive. This technique maximizes every second of the treatment for proven results. (1)
The device your skin professional will use during this procedure is a handheld diamond-tipped microdermabrasion device. This advanced technology makes for an effective exfoliating process that will not leave foreign debris behind. The serum we use during this facial is customizable to tailor the benefits to the patient’s needs. (1) This treatment can be done on the face, neck, or chest.
Oxygen Infusion Facial
Our Oxygen Infusion Facial includes 87 different minerals and vitamins (Vitamins A, C, and E) that are infused into the skin with fresh oxygen to support healing and hydration. This facial can help address erythema, which is skin redness, and edema, which is swelling. These features make this treatment great for after chemical peels or laser resurfacing, which can cause redness or swelling.
Oxygen can also have other positive interactions with the skin of the face, neck, or chest. It can improve cellular metabolism, which is how cells process energy. It can encourage improvements in skin healing as well. The introduction of oxygen to the skin can also cause neoangiogenesis, which is the creation of new blood vessels. (2) Your skin professional will use a compact handheld device to administer oxygen to the skin.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, non-chemical skin rejuvenation treatment designed to restore fresh, glowing skin. The treatment is performed with a medical-grade surgical blade, which is carefully and meticulously feathered across the skin surface in order to remove dead skin cells, debris, and facial hair. This technique allows for the controlled removal of skin with no need for surgical intervention. (3) Dermaplaning can be used on the face, neck, or chest.
Alexus Signature Facial
We have designed our very own Alexus Signature facial, which is highly customizable for your individual skin type. Our Alexus Signature facial process often includes skin analysis, exfoliation, extractions, facial massaging, and a finishing mask to stimulate cell renewal for a healthy complexion. Personal Consultation
At your personal consultation, the Alexus Medspa team will greet you and begin a thorough evaluation of your skin. If you have specific goals for your skin, you can make them known during this meeting. Your skin professional will assess the different features of your skin to determine what kind of facial would provide you with the most effective rejuvenation. It is also important to share your medical history with your skin professional at this time, as they will need to know if you have any allergies or conditions that are relevant to your facial treatment.
To schedule this important consultation, please contact us at our San Diego office by calling us at (888) 463-9532 or filling out our contact form. We look forward to providing you with attentive care throughout the facial treatment process.
Preparation
Preparing for a facial is very straightforward. Simply arrive at your appointment on time and without any makeup or facial lotions. If you wear any facial jewelry, you should also remove it before your appointment.
Procedure
All facial procedures will most likely begin with your skin professional cleansing the treatment area. Then, they will proceed to treat the face, neck, or chest with the corresponding tools required for each treatment. Some facials incorporate the use of handheld devices that administer microdermabrasion mechanisms or oxygen infusion. The Alexus Signature Facial concludes with a soothing face mask.
Regardless of the treatment, Alexus Med Spa offers a serene environment in which patients can relax when they arrive for their appointment. Throughout your facial treatment, we will explain each step of the facial as it is occurring. The length of your session will depend on what kind you receive, but most facials usually take under 1 hour.
Results
After your facial, you will leave our office with skin that looks and feels more hydrated and more youthful. Certain facials can lead to increased collagen production in the skin, and the presence of this important protein can refresh the skin and contribute to a more even complexion. Facials can reduce more specific issues such as wrinkles, discoloration, or redness, but they can also cause an overall facial rejuvenation that allows patients to feel more confident in their day-to-day lives.
After your facial, you will require no downtime, which means you can return to all of your normal activities right away. However, due to the exfoliating nature of some of these facial treatments, your skin may be somewhat sensitive for a brief period. It is important to keep your skin protected from the sun and to stay hydrated.
Corresponding & Complementary Procedures
In addition to our selection of facials, we offer other face procedures that can contribute to different aspects of facial rejuvenation. Some of our other facial procedures include wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, and peels.
Wrinkle Relaxers
Wrinkle relaxers, also known as neuromodulators, are non-surgical injectable treatments that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause them. These injections can not only lessen the appearance of current wrinkles but can also prevent them from deepening in the future. Common areas treated include the forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, and the crow’s feet around the eyes, helping to enhance one’s overall facial rejuvenation.
Dermal Fillers
We offer a variety of different dermal filler treatments at Alexus Med Spa. Dermal fillers are minimally invasive injections that can rejuvenate the face by restoring volume. These treatments can help reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines or reduce any facial hollowing. We offer Bellafill, Radiesse, Juvederm Ultra, and many others at our office. Each dermal filler differs in its formula and capabilities.
Chemical Peels
A peel is a treatment during which your skin professional will apply specially designed formulas to the face that function to remove the top layers of the skin. These layers of the skin often contain imperfections that lead to roughness, discoloration, or dullness. With their removal, we can help patients achieve smoother, healthier-looking skin. We have many different peel options that vary in depth according to patient needs.
